User comments

SweetCMS now gives site owners the ability to allow visitors to leave comments.

The comments system can be configured to allow comments on several different page types: regular pages, news items, diary events and gallery entries. The site owner can then override these settings on a page-by-page basis if they don’t wish to invite comments on a specific entry.

By default the system requires the site owner to approve any comments before they appear on the site, and a handy alert appears on the CMS home page to show you when new comments are awaiting approval.

Alternatively you can choose to have comments appear on the page instantly. It all depends on how you wish to run your site and how you expect your visitors to behave. Each comment can be edited or deleted by the site owner too, in just the same way that they can edit pages.

Commenting is a great way to encourage interaction between the site and its visitors, and the implementation in SweetCMS is as simple and flexible as the rest of the suite.
